Morrison Foerster Adds Mike Pierides, Will Holder, And Oliver Bell To Expand Technology Transactions And Tech M&A Capabilities

Morrison Foerster has brought on three new partners to strengthen its technology transactions and tech M&A capabilities. The firm announced the additions of Mike Pierides, Will Holder, and Oliver Bell, signaling a push to deepen its bench in high-stakes technology deals.

Pierides joins from a previous role where he focused on complex commercial agreements, including software licensing, cloud services, and outsourcing arrangements. Holder brings experience advising on technology-driven mergers and acquisitions, often working with private equity and corporate clients on cross-border transactions. Bell rounds out the group with a practice centered on strategic technology partnerships and intellectual property licensing.

The hires come as law firms compete for talent in the technology sector, where deal volume has remained active despite broader market fluctuations. Morrison Foerster's move suggests a bet that demand for specialized legal counsel in tech transactions will continue to grow, particularly as companies navigate issues around artificial intelligence, data rights, and digital infrastructure.

All three partners will be based in the firm's London office, though their work is expected to span multiple jurisdictions. The firm has not disclosed which firms the lawyers previously worked for, but noted that their arrival is part of a larger strategy to expand its global technology practice.
