The University of Western Australia appoints SRM Technologies as Information Technology Partner for its India Branch Campuses

The University of Western Australia, a top 100 institution globally and a founding member of the Group of Eight, has selected SRM Technologies to handle information technology services for its upcoming branch campuses in India. The partnership will support the setup of UWA's international locations in Mumbai and Chennai.

Under the agreement, SRM Technologies will manage the digital infrastructure, network systems, and campus-wide technology operations for both sites. The move is part of UWA's broader strategy to establish a physical presence in India's higher education market. The university aims to offer its academic programs directly to Indian students through these branch campuses.

SRM Technologies, a firm with experience in educational IT systems, will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and support for teaching, research, and administrative functions. The partnership is expected to streamline the technology rollout as UWA prepares to launch operations in the two major Indian cities.

UWA officials have emphasized that the selection process was rigorous, focusing on the partner's ability to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. The branch campuses represent a significant step for the university in expanding its global footprint beyond Australia. No timeline for the opening of the campuses was provided in the announcement.
